Sugar Syrup Ingredients:
1 cup water
1 cup sugar
salt to taste
cayenne powder depending on how spicy you would like it
red food color (optional)
pinch of cardamom powder (optional)
1 1/2 cup baobab powder then add up to 1/2 cup more until it’s not sticky
Method:
In a sauce pan add the sugar, water, food color, cardamon powder, and the cayenne powder, simmer it till it gets to 190 F or just simmer it for a total of 3 minutes. Next turn off the heat and add 1/2 cup baobab powder and stir it well so you don’t have any lumps than proceed with another half cup again stir, put the last 1/2 cup stirring well so you have a total of 1 and 1/2 cup total, if still sticky start adding 1 tablespoon at a time until the mixture is not sticker and you will be able to make the round balls or you can put it in a try and bake them in bars. The quantity will depend on how big or how small you make the balls or the bars. This can be stored on the counter for a couple days or just put in the refrigerator for 1 month. These can also be frozen for about 6 months!
Enjoy!
