I love deep frying my plantains, tastes yummy, can also be pan fried!! Hope you enjoy this short tutorial!
2 to 3 cups canola oil
3 to 4 ripe plantains
powder sugar for garnish (optional)
In a wok or big pan heat up the oil to 350 degrees, while the oil is heating up carefully peal the plantains and cut them as you desire and once the oil is hot deep fry them until dark brown. Drain on paper towel, once cooled transfer on a serving platter and sprinkle with powdered sugar
