Sweet and Crispy dessert topped with coconut, a great addition to any meal!
2 cups all purpose flour
2 tbsp custard powder
2 1/2 tbsp ghee or butter
enough warm water to bind dough
enough canola oil to fry
desiccated coconut for garnish or
In a bowl combine the flour and custard powder, mix than add the ghee or butter and start binding the dough, adding warm water slowly until you have a nice soft pliable dough, let this dough rest 20 min. Roll out the dough then with a cookie cutter make the shapes and follow the method in the video by making the slits and pinching the two ends. Drop them in the oil and fry them until they are golden brown. Dip the gaujas in the chasni or suger syrup and garnish with the colored desiccated coconut or sprinkles.
