This is a great condiment for all the spicy lovers out there! It freezes really well and can be eaten with just about anything your heart desires!
Ing:
45 to 50 serrano peppers
1 whole lime juiced
5 tsp ground coriander seeds
4 tsp mustard seeds
2 1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp turmeric
3/4 cup oil
1 tsp fenugreek seeds
2 tsp fresh ginger and garlic
Method:
Wash the peppers and pat dry. Cut it so you have two slits resulting in four sides, leave the stem on. Start by adding the ginger and garlic to the peppers as well as the lime juice, turmeric, coriander powder, mustard seeds, fenugreek seeds, and salt. This mixture can be marinated for a couple hours or even overnight for more delicious results. Mix the spices and the pepper really well until everything is well incorporated. Warm the oil up add the pepper mixture and pan fry for on med heat for about about 45 minutes mixing now and then until they are dry and a little brown in colour.
