These are really tasty and easy savory pancakes that can be customized with your own veggies and it is also gluten free, hope you all give this a try! Goes well with chutney and a cup of tea!
Ing:
1 cup chickpea flour or Besan
3 tbs of finely chopped onions
3 tbsp of finely chopped fresh coriander
1 egg or substitute with 3 tsp of yogurt
1/2 tsp lemon pepper
1/2 tsp chilli powder
1 tsp fresh ginger and garlic
1/2 tsp of turmeric
1/2 tsp cumin and coriander powder
salt to taste
Little olive oil to pan fry these
little water to make the mixture that resembles pancake batter
Method:
In a big bowl add the chick pea flour and then start adding a little water at a time and stirring at the same time till it’s nice and smooth.
Once you have an nice batter start adding all the ingredients and mix well, make sure your mixture is nice and smooth, warm up a frying pan and add very little olive oil once it’s nice and hot add the mixture in a round shape and cook the one side until it’s nice and brown on the bottom and the top will have some bubbles on it and the edges will get a little dry and this time flip the pancake and cook on the other side till you see the other end nice and brown. This can be enjoyed with a great chutney!
