Easy delicious, and super crunchy salad that is very easy to make and is a sure crowd pleaser
Ing:
1 to 2 large lettuce heads that are cut in long thin strips
1/4 red cabbage cut in long thin strips to add color
Dressing Ing:
1/4 cup olive oil
1/2 cup vinegar
6 tbsp soy sauce
1/2 to 3/4 cup sugar depending on your taste of sweetness
Crunchy Topping Ing:
4 tbsp unsalted butter
1 cup honey roasted sunflower seeds
1 cup sliced almonds
1 cup pumpkin seeds
1 cup slivered almonds
4 pks 3 oz or 12 oz ramen noodles
2 tbsp sugar
Method:
In a big salad bowl add your lettuce and red cabbage and set it aside, next in a sauce pan add the butter and let it melt, while the butter is melting add the raw ramen noodles and let it roast and get some color on it for a couple minutes, while that is roasting assemble the salad in a cup and give it a taste test to make sure it meets your pallet and keep that aside. Now once you see some color in the ramen noodles add all the nuts and seeds as well as the sugar and roasting it until the almonds get a little color on it and has a nice crunch.
This salad should NOT be mixed ahead of time, it will make the salad very soggy only mix all the ingredients just before serving.
