These chapli kebab are also known as Peshawari kabobs, they can be made from beef or chicken which are formed in the shape of a patty with various delicious spices. Healthy and great for diabetics as well, this have been my go to kabobs on my life style journey.
Ing:
olive oil for pan frying
4 pounds ground chicken
3 roma tomatoes cored and diced
1 bunch cilantro chopped
1 medium onion chopped finelly
1 egg2 tbsp fresh ginger and garlic puree
1/4 cup gram or chick pea flour
1 tbsp cajun seasoning
2 tbsp garam masala
1 tbsp cumin powder
1 tbsp coriander powder
1.5 tbsp lemon peppersalt to taste
1/4 cup melted ghee (optional) if using fat free chicken
2 tomatoes sliced thinly if you want to add it on the top of the kabobs
Method:Start with the ground beef and add all the ingredients listed above, mix everything really well and then stick the mixture in the refrigerator for half an hour. Oil your hands and make flat patties and pan fry it in very minimal amount of oil until you see the sides are white at this time turn them around and cook them until the patties are completely cooked though. If you are using the air fryer then use the same method and stick them in the air fryer for 360 for 4 min turn them and turn it and stick them back in for another 360 degrees for another 4 min, next stick it in for the last 2 min on 400 degrees. The tomatoes that you put on top is optional, it did work out in the air fryer but the pan frying did not really work.Enjoy!
