Super homemade delicious chicken lettuce wraps that are super easy to make and very cost effective
1 large lettuce or romaine leaves
8 oz bella mushrooms chopped
1 5oz can water chestnuts chopped (optional)
1 cup chopped chicken
marinated in
ginger and garlic
3/4 tsp garlic
1 tsp chili garlic sauce
1/2 cup chopped spring onions to put in the mixture
2 tbsp spring onions for garnish
2 tbsp fresh coriander fresh
handful of rice noodles
1/2 to 1 tsp sesame oil
1 tbsp olive oil
1 tbsp soy sauce
1 tbsp oyster sauce
2 tbsp brown sugar
salt to taste
dipping sauce ing
2 tbsp water
1 tbsp soy sauce
1 tbsp brown sugar
1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
1/2 tsp sesame oil
1 tbsp chili garlic sauce
1/2 cup chopped spring onions (Mix everything really well and keep it aside
In a big pot add olive oil and let it heat up add the chicken and saute it on med high heat until half cooked, then add the mushrooms, spring onions, chestnuts, keep sauteing it and add the sesame oil, soy sauce, oyster sauce, garlic, chili garlic sauce, and the brown sugar, saute this until you have a dry mixture. Do a taste test and adjust the seasonings to your pallet. Turn of the stove and add fresh coriander and let it cool a bit. In another wok add some oil and test the oil place a handful of rice noodles and take them out as soon as they puff up.
