Super delicious steak curry with just the right amount of spices and very little oil
Ing:
2 tbsp olive oil
1 tbsp garam masala
1 tsp turmeric
1 tbsp cumin and coriander powder
1 tbsp kashmiri chili powder
1 tbsp black pepper
2 tbsp chopped fresh coriander for garnish
1/2 fresh squeezed lime juice
1 tbsp ginger and garlic
1 large onion blended
1 anaheim pepper blended
2 roma tomatoes crushed
1 cup yogurt
water as needed to thin out the gravy
2 lbs very thin sliced steak cut in 2 by 2 only 1.4 inch thick
Method:
In a pan add your olive oil and once that gets a little hot add the pureed onions and stir fry it for a little while once the mixture has cooked for a while add the ginger and garlic and cook it again for another couple min, then start adding the turmeric, garam masala, cumin and coriander powder, keep stirring well continue with the black pepper and the kashmiri chili powder make sure you stir fry this mixture for a while before you add the pureed tomatoes, stir really well lastly add the yogurt and salt once you have the nice gravy add the meat in the gravy cook it for about a minute before adding the water. Cover it and let it cook for about 40 min or until meat is completely cooked through. Give it a splash of lime and serve it with homemade rotis. Garnish with coriander. Can be served with rice or parathas as well
