A homemade sesame seed brittle that is made with jaggery and is super easy to make, once you make a batch you will want to make it again and again!
16 oz or 1 lb of jaggery
12 oz of roasted sesame seeds
1 tbsp of ghee
In a heavy duty sauce pan add the jaggery and melt it, then add the ghee and let it melt completely, once completely melted do the test and then throw the roasted sesame seeds in the mixture and use a spatula that is high heat resistant and make sure to coat the mixture really really well, also make sure and coat your work area as well as the pizza cutter, a small bowl and a rolling pin with ghee. Transfer the mixture onto a working surface and flatten it out as much as you can, make sure and cut it while warm or you will just have to break it!
