A great appetizer that can be served warm or hot with your choice of chutney!
Ing:
3 cups canola oil for frying
4 to 5 peeled and boiled potatoes
3/4 cup cooked ground beef
1 tbsp dried parsley flakes (this is to be added in the egg mixture)
1 tbsp lemon pepper (this is also to be added in the egg mixture)
1 tbsp lemon pepper
Salt to taste
Green Chutney to taste
Black pepper to taste
1/3 cup fresh chopped coriander
1/2 cup chopped onions
For dusting and dipping you are going to need
enough flour for dusting on top of the cutlas
2 eggs beaten
Method
In a bowl add the onions and mash up the potatoes with your hands, next add the green chutney, black pepper, lemon pepper, and salt to taste, combine all the ingredients really well than add the ground beef, and the fresh chopped coriander and again give it a good mix, if you feel you want to add more do so at this time. Taste and make sure that the cutlas is seasoned to your liking. Season your eggs with salt, lemon pepper and dried parsly which is completely optional. Now roll them anyway you, like dip it in flour than the eggs and fry it until nice and brown, make sure you lay them on a paper towel than move them an on serving plate, this will soak up extra oil.
