A really soft, juicy and fragrant turkey that is full of citrus flavor, unfortunately you might not have any leftovers
Preheat oven at 450 for first half hour and reduce to 350 for the rest of the time the turkey bakes and reaches 165 degrees
Marination ing:
1 turkey
2 tbsp of ginger and garlic
1 tbsp lemon pepper
8 tbsp unsalted butter
2 tbsp cajun seasoning
Stuffing Ing:
3 bunches of rosemary
2 bunches of basil
2 bunches of lemon basil
1 orange zest
1 orange
2 limes zested and juiced
Method:
Wash the turkey really well and marinate with butter, ginger and garlic, cajun seasoning and lemon pepper, leave it in the fridge to dry for 24 hours. Second day stuff it with the herbs and the orange and the limes, put the wings under the bird and tie the twine around the turkey and put it back in the fridge for another 24 hours. Day three preheat the oven at 450 for half hour or until it reaches the desired colour, stick the thermometer in the turkey lower the oven temperature to 350 and let it bake until the it reaches 165 degrees. Remove the turkey from the oven and let it rest for 30 minutes. Cutting it before the 30 minutes will result in a dry turkey…..
