My mom learnt how to make this when she was in high school, she has been making this for us for years and now I make it for my kids and they love it!
Ing:
16 oz of room temperature unsalted butter or 2 sticks
1 cup sugar
2 tbsp dark corn syrup
2 tbsp light corn syrup
4 cups old fashioned oats
Method:
Preheat oven at 400 degrees F
In a large pot add the butter and let it melt, next add the sugar and mix it well then go ahead and add both the corn syrups, the sugar should be melted completely before you add the oats. Once you see the mixture starting to simmer add the oats in it and stir it really well making sure all the oats are coated in the mixture. Lay parchment paper in a 9 by 13 pan and spray it with some cooking oil, add the mixture in the tray and stick them in the oven for about 8 to 10 min. Let it cool down completely before you cut them in any size you desire.
