A deep fried cake like doughnut sprinkled with powdered sugar, a great enjoyment with a cup of tea or to eat with curry!
Ing:
3 cups oil for frying
31/2 cups white flour
2 tsp yeast
3/4 cup sugar
1/4 cup oil
2 tbsp coconut powder
1 tsp crushed cardamom powder (optional)
1/4 tsp baking powder
1 egg (optional)
warm water to bind dough!
Method:
Mix all the dry ingredients properly making sure all the ingredients have incorporated well, next add all the wet ingredients except for the water and mix then slowly add warm water to bind a nice soft sticky dough…. make four balls keep aside, take one of the balls and make an 8 to 10 inch round flat roti and cut in 4, do the same for the rest and lay them on a cloth sprinkled with white flour, give them about 10 to 15 minutes and fry in oil!
Enjoy!
