Thought of comparing a homemade piri piri sauce compared to the store bought Nandos Piri Piri rub! The winner was the homemade Piri
Preheat oven at 400 degrees F
Piri sauce!
1 whole chicken cut in pieces
1 tbsp ginger and garlic
3 tbsp bird’s eye chilies blended
3 tbsp paprika
1 tbsp black pepper
5 tbsp balsamic vinegar
3/4 bell pepper
1/2 onion cubed
1 lemon juiced
salt to taste
3 tbsp olive oil
Wash and clean the chicken and keep it aside, in a small blender blend the rest of the ingredients and massage it in the chicken, you can either use a whole chicken or you can also use it in chicken pieces. This sauce is enough for 2 chickens!
If using the Nando’s ready rub then follow the packet directions!
