Smooth cheese and silky very easy homemade cheese sauce that can be used with just about anything
Ing:
8 tbsp unsalted butter or 1/2 cup
1/2 cup white flour
salt to taste
black pepper optional
1 lb of cheddar cheese shredded
2 to 2.5 cups milk depending on how thick you want it
Method:
In a big pot add the butter and let it melt then add the flour and cook it till the color changes a little and a nice aroma will come out from there as well. Keep stirring continuously to prevent lumps add the milk all at once and keep stirring, add the salt and pepper and don’t stop stirring until it has thickened up next add the shredded cheese and stir some more until it reaches the thickness that is desired. Give it a final taste test and your cheese sauce is ready….
