Halwa made with pineapples and nuts toped with creamy whipping cream!!
2 tbsp unsalted butter at room temperature
1 cup graham cracker crumbs (more can be added to thicken up the halwa)
1/2 cup slivered almonds
1 can crushed pineapple (20 oz)
1 can pineapple tidbits drained (20 oz)
1 tin condensed milk (14 oz)
2 to 3 tbsp whipping cream for garnish
2 tbsp sliced almonds for garnish
In a heavy bottom saucepan add the butter, once melted add both the pineapple cans stir well, add the condensed milk and stir wait till you have a slight boil at this point go ahead and add the graham cracker crumb mixture mix it very well, do a taste test add more condensed milk per your taste if needed and the slivered almonds. Once the mixture leaves the side of the pan you can transfer the mixture on to a serving plate and garnish with whipping cream, graham cracker crumbs and slivered almonds.
